Introducing the K1 Pro: From Nanomaterial Discovery to Manufacture, Faster
Developing a new nanomaterial usually means months of batch experiments, litres of wasted reagent, and a scale-up process that starts from scratch. The K1 Pro was built to end that.
At its core is our patented annular flow reactor, a thin liquid film driven by a high-velocity gas core, giving shear rates up to 10⁶ s⁻¹ and micromixing in as little as 0.5 ms. The result: precise control of particle size, morphology and crystallinity, without extreme temperatures or pressures.

What the K1 Pro adds:
– Up to 4 continuous dosing and selector valves enables users to switch up to 16 reagents inline, removing the time-consuming task of reagent preparation.
– Automated priming and rinsing between runs increases throughput.
– 5 high-precision pressure sensors for in-depth process data.
– AMLearn, code free AI optimisation across up to 25 variables and 4 objectives, reducing experimental workload as low as 50% compared to conventional factorial design.
– Particles from 3 nm to microns: metal oxides, quantum dots, MOFs, 2D materials, metals, organic nanoparticles.
– Benchtop footprint, fits a standard fume hood, replaces a 50L reactor.
– Applications include semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, energy storage and speciality chemicals.

Crucially, it’s built to scale. Processes developed on the K1 Pro move to our K10 and K100 systems with minimal reconfiguration, the first commercial route from 1 to 100 kg/day without re-optimising.
From discovery to manufacture, faster.
