Accelerated Materials' advanced microreactor and AI technologies enabled Mitsui Chemicals to achieve 90% faster R&D and up to 80% cost savings in a complex nanoparticle encapsulation project, demonstrating exceptional scalability and impact.
Dear Nicholas and Mikhail,
Mitsui Chemicals Singapore R&D Centre, Pte. Ltd. had the pleasure of collaborating with Accelerated Materials (AM) on a complex encapsulation project involving water-insoluble organic compounds. This challenge demanded both material nanonization and the stabilization of aqueous dispersions where R&D is remarkably difficult and often resource intensive.
AM’s annular microreactor technology delivered outstanding results. They produced highly uniform nanoparticles across different target size ranges such as ultra-fine particles at 5 ± 2.1 nm and submicron particles at 464 ± 42 nm with exceptional dispersion stability. By utilizing the K1-Start system in combination with AMLearn software, AM not only met our technical requirements but also achieved a significant reduction in R&D process time by 90% compared to the traditional trial-and-error experimentation.
Furthermore, the optimized process demonstrated strong potential for cost savings when scaled up to the larger K10 and K100 platforms, effectively streamlining the path toward higher-margin product commercialization and seamless industrial-scale production. Preliminary estimates indicate potential production cost reductions of approximately 70–80%, underscoring the efficiency and scalability of the solution.
What impressed us most was Accelerated Materials’ ability to pair cutting-edge technology with practical scalability that was able to significantly reduce development cost and time. Their solutions have already added substantial value to our R&D efforts, and we eagerly anticipate tackling future challenges together.
We highly recommend Accelerated Materials to any organization seeking advanced materials innovations with a proven, scalable route to sustainable industrial manufacture.
Sincerely,

Hiromu Kaneyoshi
